Building Permits, Variance, Special Exceptions, Rezoning and Temporary CAFO permits are available for download to the right. A building permit is required for any work done if materials are over $1250 or if work that is being hired out is over $2500.
If the project is an addition or new building that is less than the dollar value stated, the setbacks still need to be met. If you are not sure of the setbacks, please check with the Equalization Office for the required setbacks in your area. If you do not meet the setbacks, you will need to apply for a Variance which can also be downloaded.
• Building permits are $10.00.
• If work has started without a permit, you may be fined.
• The fine can vary from $25.00 to $200.00 a day.
• Variances, and Special Exceptions are $30.00
